How to Enter the 2009 Flickerings Film Showcase

Flickerings is partnered with Without A Box for online entry for our 2009 Film Showcase. You can enter online at the Without a Box profile for Flickerings here.  (Note: registration required.) If you'd prefer, fill out an entry form for each film entered. An entry fee of $10 is required for each short film sent. The entry fee for features (60-120 mins.) is $20. The Flickerings deadline is determined by the press date of the Cornerstone Festival program, and so the official deadline for Flickerings is March 1st, 2009. There is an extended deadline for entries through Without a Box. (See WAB for details.) Entries sent via this site should make check payable to "Cornerstone Festival." We will acknowledge receipt of your entry only by email, so it is important that you print your email address CLEARLY on the form. Regardless of original formats, the Showcase accepts entries only on DVD. Label disk with filmmaker name, phone & email, and film title. Entries will not be returned. Final Entry Deadline is March 1, 2009. Call the Cornerstone Festival office about late entries: (773) 303-4041. Entry form, check, and film(s) should be mailed to: Flickerings, Cornerstone Festival, 920 W. Wilson Ave., Chicago, IL 60640. Entrants have the option of enclosing a still image from their film, but space is very limited in the print program so this is optional. Any additional press materials (posters, postcards, etc) are not necessary and will not be used. Filmmakers attending the event may bring their own materials for the display table if they wish. If one or more of your entries are selected for the Flickerings Film Showcase, you will receive notification by May 1, 2009 by email. A list of the selected films will also be posted at flickerings.com. The schedule for the Showcase will be announced by June 1, 2009, at which time it will be posted at flickerings.com. The Flickerings Film Showcase will be held July 1-4, 2009 as a part of the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois. See official festival site for details on Cornerstone Festival. You must have purchased a regular admission to Cornerstone Festival to attend The Flickerings Film Showcase. There is no additional fee to attend Flickerings, but we cannot provide full-event passes to Cornerstone Festival for Flickerings attendees; HOWEVER, all filmmakers whose films have been selected for the Showcase are eligible for "Industry Rate" tickets.
